Start the New Year with a Clear Perspective on Window Film!

Happy 2014! The IWFA is excited about the New Year upon us. We have so much to build on, thanks to the great work of our team in 2013. We’re proud to be part of an industry on the move and confident this will be our biggest, best year yet.

In case you missed any of the new developments we launched this past year – I’ll provide a quick recap of some highlights here. These are resources window film industry leaders and informed consumers can’t do without.

The IWFA kicked-off Facebook and Twitter and YouTube communities in early 2013, to share news and insights and create a closer connection between the IWFA, others in the window film industry and consumers that can benefit from learning more about window film. If you haven’t already – join us there!

In 2013 we also offered a free consumer booklet for consumers to learn more about window film! We’re all about sharing our experience, facts and insights on how everyone can get more benefits and value than ever before from window film.  And in November we launched this IWFA blog to keep you and others even closer to issues of interest!

Also, in 2013 a bill was enacted, called the American Taxpayer Relief Act that included tax incentives for energy efficient home improvements, such as installing window film. This is a great way to keep hard-earned money in consumers’ wallets and get an even bigger return on the investment in window film. As a long-term, cost-effective solution for saving energy, window film qualifies in the legislation as part of a building’s ‘insulation envelope’. It can reduce energy consumption from solar heat gain in summer or reflect interior heat back inside in winter, while allowing in natural light without the negative impact of UV exposure. Consumers that installed window film this past year shouldn’t miss out on this when they’re filing taxes for 2013.

With the popularity of window film expanding rapidly, the IWFA also developed two new avenues to advance the education of window film professionals. The first was the introduction of a preeminent online magazine for unbiased information that offers rich content that impacts the industry. The IWFA View is a free bi-monthly advertising-free publication offering business and industry articles that can be found nowhere else.

Additionally, a Regional Conference and Competitions event is coming up February 28 – March 2, 2014 at the Arlington Texas Convention Center and Sheraton Hotel. The theme for the event is ‘Go For The Gold Standard’. This reflects our belief that nowhere else can industry professionals receive the same standard of accurate and unbiased information on window film, straight from the source.

We had a great 2013 and can’t wait to build on all of the great momentum in 2014. Please join us on Facebook and Twitter , and check out this blog each month to be part of the latest and greatest in the window film industry!
