Sharing Knowledge Makes The World and Our Industry Better

Next week the International Window Film Association (IWFA) will be holding an ‘Education Day’ at an industry event called the International Window Film Conference and Tint-off, which is sponsored by Key Media and Research. Attendees may expect to learn new ways to run their businesses, gain IWFA accreditations in specific types of window film applications and share important insights on the latest developments in the industry.

The window film installation business is mostly made up of independent business owners who focus on serving their customers with the best products and techniques available to them for the project they are working on.

Whether the job is installing window film on a vehicle, in a home, a public building or an interior space, each situation calls for specific product knowledge and installation expertise.

But how does the individual window film dealer gain the necessary knowledge and expertise to provide the best possible level of customer service?

One key resource is the IWFA. It is the window film industry’s only nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing information and educational opportunities to dealers, distributors and manufacturers of window films. It also educates consumers, who we define as anyone interested in knowing the many benefits that window films offer.

Through such programs as accreditation testing, a program that indicates that the person that holds the accreditation possesses a strong understanding of the principles that guide the selection and installation of the type of window film being used, whether it’s for an automotive, solar energy control, or safety and security applications. In addition, the IWFA has partnered with a training school, The Window Tint School in Jacksonville, FL, and it also holds ‘educational’ programs during industry events or at an IWFA member facility.

The IWFA looks forward to the WFCT event that will take place the September 14-16 in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio, TX. If you are planning to attend this event, please stop by the IWFA booth, number 321. We look forward to sharing all that makes this industry so successful and important.
