This holiday season, the International Window Film Association (IWFA) has released a new infographic offering 12 reasons to celebrate how professionally installed window film can help consumers do just that.

The IWFA recommends these 12 tips for the holiday season and beyond:

2. Protect your skin from UV rays. Skin damage is cumulative. By blocking up to 99 percent of UV rays from passing through your home’s and car’s unprotected windows, window film can help keep your skin healthier and more protected than window glass alone.
3. Cherish your furniture, floors, and family heirlooms. Professionally installed window film can add an extra layer of defense for some of your most beloved possessions – reducing premature fading and slowing deterioration.
4. Cut down on heating and cooling costs. Up to one-third of your home’s heating and cooling costs can be lost through inefficient windows. Window film rejects up to 55 percent of solar heat – offering a more energy efficient environment.Some films can even help to retain room heat in the winter months.
