Modern building in Paris

IWFC,September 20-22, 2012

Washington, DC — August 23, 2012 – As the window film industry sees increased growth, the need for accredited window film professional installers is a cornerstone of the upcoming conference co-hosted by the International Window Film Association (www.IWFA.com).  The IWFA is encouraging education about window film usage and installation and is offering a discount for education and training at the industry’s premiere event, the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (IWFC) held in Louisville, Kentucky from September 20-22nd.

Pre-registration discounts for the IWFC, which is co-sponsored with Window Film Magazine, ends August 31st. Held at the Kentucky International Convention Center, the event offers attendees educational seminars by industry leaders, networking on the exhibition show floor with window film manufacturers, and the popular Tint-Off™ competitions.

During the conference, special accreditation courses and accreditation examinations will be offered. IWFA courses and accreditation include:

  • Automotive Film Specialists
  • Safety & Security Film Specialists
  • Solar Control Specialists
  • Advanced Solar Control Specialists

“Working with an IWFA accredited dealer assures the public that the specialist with whom they are working with has completed testing on the proper uses and technical aspects of window film products,” said Darrell Smith, executive director of the IWFA.

“As window film continues to be widely recognized as an important energy saving building material, the broad range of today’s advanced window films has created new opportunities for everyone involved in selling and installing window film,” added Smith. “This increased sophistication and steady growth of window film is why it is important for all dealers and installers to learn how to select the right window film based on the specifics of an individual building and its windows,” said Smith.
